The meeting, to be held at Ashmansworth Village Hall (in the centre of Ashmansworth village, overlooking the war memorial, RG20 9SJ), will comprise:

  • election of churchwardens for the amalgamated ‘parish’ of Ashmansworth, Crux Easton, East Woodhay and Woolton Hill

  • election of PCC members.

The elected PCC will then convene a short meeting to appoint officers e.g. secretary, safeguarding officer.

Refreshments will be available for everyone immediately afterwards.

Anyone who is on the Electoral Rolls of the four parishes may attend and vote.

Details of the amalgamation of the existing PCCs is detailed in this blog post. The ‘pastoral scheme’ has been approved by the Diocese and this meeting enables us to proceed with the full implementation. It is important to note that the amalgamation should have no effect on the week-to-week work of St Martin’s and the other churches. Its purpose is simply to reduce the administrative workload of having to run four separate PCCs.

A formal notice of the meeting is displayed at St Martin’s (and also at the other three churches).

Please join us on 10th!
